WHO WE ARE
Green
Woman Yoga and Childbirth’s mission is to celebrate mothers
throughout pregnancy and beyond, giving them access to a
supportive community that is dedicated to building strong family
bonds. We offer mental, emotional, and physical tools that
mothers can use to discover and care for their changing bodies
within a safe and non-judgmental environment. We provide mothers
with appropriate yoga based postures that serve as comfort
measures through all three trimesters, during her labor and
childbirth, and in the postpartum life. We are committed
to fostering a community that brings families together,
celebrating caregivers and children as they transform from brand
new to growing families.
HISTORY THROUGH THE PRESENT TENSE
Founded in 2003, this LLC lives and breathes through its own journey. Inspired by mothering, motherhood and community, it evolves and cycles. Mother to this LLC is Michelle Wenis, who is Mama to two boys, Nico and Cole, four and two years of age, and to her very own angel baby, Lala Nycks.
“All three inspire me to learn, love, laugh, cry, forgive and to try never to forget. My immediate goal is to make it through this moment in gratitude and awareness of all the gifts around me. That is all. That is enough.”
Michelle holds a 200 Hour RYT Hatha Yoga certification through Lara Ward's Lotus Gardens, LLC. She received her advanced training in Prenatal Yoga through Rose St. John Bergen's Transformational Arts and is in process of completing Suzanne Cardinal's Into This World Productions, Inc.
